Star Wars The Force Awakens Countdown 7 days! (1 week!)

Today we have to highlight one of the #1 ways we love Star Wars through BOOKS!!!

Oh the books!  Chapter books, Lego story books, Encyclopedia's for Lego, for Clone Wars, for the Movies, Sticker books, Coloring books, Dictionaries, Poster books, and learn to read and do math workbooks.

Rex has an insatiable hunger for Star Wars knowledge.  So from the beginning we have turned to books to fill him up with that knowledge.  He will basically sit and read or listen to you read a informational book about Star Wars as long as you are willing to sit there and read it.  I love them to but sometimes at bedtime I will say, "pick any book, but not a Star Wars book!" because sometimes I just want to read a easy story rather than the specific detailed diagram of Mace Windu's lightsaber.



Long before Rex had seen any of the movies he knew pretty well all that happens in each movie thanks to all the books he has read. We have built up our library over the years from Birthday and Christmas presents but also I have scored big a few times at yard sales and the Greenville book fair.  The library has also been a great resource to check out lots of Star Wars books.

Some of our favorites are the encyclopedia books.  The Lego Star Wars one is very good at helping you learn all the characters and how they fit into the plot line of the movies.  The Lego Star Wars visual dictionary has every set ever made and info about the set.  Rex and Grant both love looking at this and talking about what we have, what we want, what looks cool, what characters come in what set, ect, ect.

As long as they are making new Star Wars movies I know they will be making new Star Wars books.  And we can't wait to read them.
