We had a fun afternoon of video games and laser tag at Edisons.
The boys got to go swimming at the Metro Plex in O'Fallon, which just got me even more excited about the new REC center that will be opening in the late spring in Fairview 1 block away from our house.
Rex went to Gma and Gpas first. Grant and I had a date day including hiking in the woods (because the weather was so nice) We were secret agents and had to complete our mission without getting caught, it was hard, but we did it.
Then we went to Grant's favorite place Papa Vito's and had is very favorite Grilled Cheese.
Next up Grant went to Gma and Gpas and Rex and I had a date night went to the movies to see Wreck it Ralph 2, and Rex drank unlimited icee's. I think he had 3and half glasses.
Will kicked off the year with a new Outdoor soccer league. His team won their first game and he scored too! For now he will taking a break from indoor and doing this league on Sunday nights.
It snowed! 8.5 Inches!!
Which should have been fun.....but we ended up all taking turns getting the stomach flu for the next week. Lucy had some fun though.
Grant put on a smile to come out and make this snowman for 10 minutes but he was back on the couch feeling yucky not long after.
First Grant, then Mom, then a few days later Dad, then Rex. Lucy was my faithful companion while I was in bed.
We bought a new van! The Caravan served us well since just before Grant was born! It was 11 years old and up to 145,000 miles. Our new Van is a 2017 Chyrsler Pacifica. Hopefully we will have it and enjoy it for a long long time!
It sure is nice to have a dog to help keep me warm on these cold winter nights (especially since Will has started his 2nd year on nights shift). AND it has been cold!!
Lets see what else.....
Rex we are finding has quite the brain for numbers. He has been working his way through multiplication facts all month. Give him about 5 minutes and he can memorize 1-9 multiplication facts of just about any number it seems. These were his tests from Tue-Friday of one week! (his in his 20's now, while most of the class is still in the single digits)
1st Grade had a really fun day celebrating the 100th day of school. Grant had so much fun he made this at home afterwards (Grant Rowland 100....with a lake, with waves, and 100 fireworks)
Upward basketball season has begun again. Rex is probable not destined for the NBA but he is having fun and practices and games and hustles and works hard.
Well that's about it for January 2019. How did your January go? I'd love it if you would leave me a comment.
