Star Wars The Force Awakens Countdown 2 days Left!
Rex's alarm clock for school mornings
As we are nearing the end of our countdown I've saved some of the best ways we love Star Wars for the end. Today we are talking about LEGOS!!!!
We love Legos at this house, and we love Star Wars at this house....so put the two together and we kinda freak out about Star Wars Legos!! Ive already mentioned Star Wars Legos in many of my posts like in books, and clothes, and video games but now its time for the real thing. How long do you have? Cause we could talk about, play with and show you Star Wars Legos all day long and then some.
Most of our collection. I had fun working on the type tray display earlier this year
Every Birthday and Christmas Rex gets several new big sets to add to his collection. I've had some good luck with craigslist and been able to get some big used sets for good deals. I would say there isn't a day that goes by that someone in our house hasn't played with a Star Wars Lego at some point during the day (I even have a lego princess Leia key chain)
This is our 3rd year to do the Star Wars Lego advent calendar. Its like Christmas every morning all December long!
Rex (4 here I think?) at the Lego Star Wars exhibit at Lego Discovery Center KC
Grant at the same display when he was 3
They day the Lego Death Star arrived at our house. (we used all our yard sale profits to buy it!)
I've shared this video on my blog before but thought it was fitting to put it on here again. This is the video I made of us building the death star. I honestly loved building it and Rex and Grant love playing with it so it was a win win. ( I also documented an xwing build we did but never turned it into a video maybe I should do that...hmmm)
As you may have guess with the new movie coming out a whole line of new Legos have been released. In fact the First Order Trooper Transporter is a top item on his Grandma Cindy Christmas list. Legos are something I dont think we will ever get rid of. I have already passed mine down to Rex and Grant and I expect they will pass them down to their kids. So today we thankyou to Star Wars and to Lego for being the perfect marriage of awesome!
