En Route

Our trip continued on day 2 as we took in as many sites as we could on our way to Yellowstone. We stopped at one of those tourist trap towns, Wall,SD at Wall Drug and took some cheezy photos...we were on vacation after all.

They even had a Jack Rabbit!

Mt. Rushmore:

We couldn't stay long so we snapped a few photos and hopped back in the car.

Devils Tower:

(aka-that place from Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind.....but we didn't see any aliens...we looked!)

We enjoyed lunch and then headed for Montana. We ended up having a 15 hour day on the road...I might have planned to much! The last hour of our drive to Gardiner, MT (the northern entrance to Yellowstone) in the dark, in a rain storm, on a mountain road with beware of Animals crossing signs all over....I probably wont do that again.
