The Badlands

Here are some pictures of our first stop The Badlands National Park in South Dakota. It is pretty strange to see them as you are driving the landscape starts to change all of a sudden from plains to a strange mountains and canyons all over.

We took a fairly strenuous hike right at sunset that led us up this wooden ladder.

The view at the end was worth it. I tried to capture it on this panoramic shot but it still doesn't do it justice.

This was our little cabin in the park for the night. Nothing fancy but a comfy bed and good shower was all we needed for the night.

As we drove through the rest of the park the next morning we enjoyed stopping at many of the pull-offs and a few more pictures before we left.
