and now for something completely different.....

| A pic from our Crayfish boil! |
ok not that different but I think I'm going to post once a week for the month of June. So here is Our first week of June. (actually its like a week and a half)
Its starting to really feel like summer. Warm days, t-shirts,shorts and flip flops, a constant hum of a lawn mower somewhere in the neighborhood, and swimming in the pool! Grant is swimming on his own this year (with floaties!).

The Police Department had their Annual Torch Run on the 6th. The boys and I ran in it last year with Will so we planned to do it again. Will ended up not being able to run because his shift was short that morning so I wasn't going to do it either but Rex really really wanted to do it, he wanted to run this year. So we went ahead and did it and I'm so glad we did. The run is just over 2.5 miles and Rex probably ran half of it or more, he took breaks in the stroller but wanted to run as much as he could. We also saw Will throughout the run as he was helping with traffic. Rex says he wants to do more runs with us! I've got visions of doing a 5K with him someday in the not to far off future!

After the race we hitched a ride back to the PD in the back of Daddies Police car. The boys loved it. Rex looked at me while we were driving back and said, "this is one of my dreams and its coming true today" The boys climb in the police car and check it out in the driveway when Will is home for lunch sometimes but they have never gotten to ride in one so they were on cloud 9.

| Grant and I out in our woods trail trying to trim up the brush a little |
| Can you see what we spotted right behind our wood pile??!! |
| A baby deer! He was so sweet he stayed in that spot all day and we checked on him many times. The boys and I were in love with how little and sweet he was. I guess him Momma came and got him that night because he was gone the next morning. So glad she shared him with us for the day. |
| The boys learned Hockey at Mini All Stars this week. Rex scored 4 goals and really liked it.....I don't think he knows about the whole skating on ice and slamming into each other part. |
| Livin' the life in the jogging stroller. |
| Rex working on his stretching.... |
| Celebrating on the last day of school with some Snow Cones! Rex had am awesome last week with something fun everyday. I think it was too fun because he cried for aobut 15 minutes on Thursday after school when it hit him that the school year was really all over. |
| The boys (and I) all got our teeth cleaned, Rex is a pro at it! |
| This was Grants 1st time, he did great! |
On Friday we went to a Crayfish Boil an annual event a guy that Will works with puts on and invites the whole department. It was lots of fun for all of us. We tried Fried Gator, Gumbo, Craydad, potatoes, corn and cajun corn bread. It was all delicious! The boys tried the gator and each ate one craydad, then they ate cheese and crackers, I was proud of them for trying something new. (Daddy wouldnt even try the crayfish) Will really enjoyed the Gumbo, and I liked all of it. The corn packed a lot of heat, but it was still good! They had a big bouncy house the boys loved! umm...yea that's my kids on the top.
We going to be packing up Monday and heading to Kansas for the rest of the week on Tuesday!
