Battle Of The Candy Thieves by Grant

Grant had A LOT of fun making this book for his schools annual Young Authors contest. He and I sat down at the computer and I typed as fast as I could to keep up with the story that was spilling out of him. One of the main rules of the contest is that you may type it for your child but it has to be in their own words. So I can honestly say I typed what he said verbatim word for word. He was really proud of it when it was all done and he turned it in. AND it turned out he was one of the winners for the school! Which made it extra special! (I'm pretty sure I posted that video back in February of him winning) It was really fun to work on it with him, I felt like I got a little insight into what is going on in his day dreaming brain all the time....and WOW it's a lot!!
