A little more June

When I had originally been working on my blog at the end of June I had just finished the Millie post and wasn't feeling like posting anything else about the month I would just assume forget.  But that isn't fair, while there was deep lose and sadness in June there was also lots of living and life.  So as much to honor Millie's spirit and to say that we really are going to be ok, some FUN things that we finished up June with.

We weeekend in Greenville:
Car show where the former "Greg Brady" was a celebrity guest.

The boys and I each picked a car out that we wanted.
This was what we picked for Will (he approved)

 Grant's Pic....

The boys and I helped out with a Retirement surprise party that Mom Hosted for a good family Friend:

 Pool silliness:

We had a giant tree limb fall in the yard.

Papa Rex came to help us get it cut down, and Will bought his first chain saw.

Be careful Papa!

Loved this little helper:

This is my wood pile, you may not be able to tell the scale but they are all quite small limb sized pieces.  Hoping these will be used in a future firepit...

More pool fun at the neighbors (our house/yard is in the background)

A little bouncy house fun at Monkey Joe's!

SIX FLAGS DAY!!
Rex earned a free admission to six flags from a winter reading program at school  The boys really wanted to go this summer but we were kinda on the fence.  Were they ready?, It's not cheap for the rest of us to get in, Would it be to hot and crowded.....blah, blah, blah.  So we kinda had it in the back of our minds to maybe go sometime this summer, maybe.  So fast forward to last week, Will had a pretty scary incident at work that involved him trying to stop a shoplifter, them fleeing, him chasing and grabbing onto them as they tried to leap into a get away car, then the car starting to drive with him half in and half out, him seconds later finding him self completely in the car due to a quick turn and centrifugal force,  Then him pulling his gun and getting the driver to stop the vehicle, and the possey coming to his aid.  He had a small cut on his head and a pulled arm muscle but  was okay, and walked away, and came home to us.  (If you want the whole story you'll have to ask Will sometime he tells it better than me, which I know is hard to imagine) But it's things like that, make me hug him a little longer before he leaves, and think yes we will go to Six Flags for the Day and spend the money, and ignore the heat and crowds (which really weren't too bad), and enjoy a fun family day together......and it was a Really Fun day, and the boys were ready and loved all the rides they rode.  I didn't take a whole lot of pictures but I have a lot of good memories.

riding in the giant ferris wheel checking out the whole park in the morning

Pretty pumpkin flower, I cant wait to see how many pumpkins we end up with we have LOT of flowers.

Me folding laundry and finally understanding why God gave me such long legs...
