REX is 3 1/2!

My Rexie boy is already 3.5!  So what is Rex up to these days?

• Rex LOVES anything and everything Star Wars right now(and no he hasn't seen the movies). He likes Light Sabers (or Light Savers if you ask him), playing Star Wars Angry Birds on the ipad (and the kid is good), asking a million questions about the Star Wars Lego encyclopedia book, Star Wars Playskool action figures, kiddie library books about Star Wars, The music of Star Wars I have played it enough now that he almost constantly is humming a tune (usually the Darth Vader theme) as he plays, and building his own "Galaxy", "Death Star," and "Republic Gun Ships" out of Mega blocks.

• Rex is really enjoying preschool and 2 mornings a week is just the right amount for this year I think.

• Rex is still a picky eater but he is starting to try more foods and actually like some of them.

• He is still a chatter box and talks me to death from the time he gets up till the time he goes to bed.

• Rex loves to hear stories.  Most of them he asks me to tell involve him teaming up to fight with Luke and Obi-Won in space against Darth Vader and Darth Maul.  He tells some too, he has a great imagination.

• He made up a Dog named "Posse."  When we are walking or driving and see a random Dog he will get real excited and say "Mommy theirs Posse".  I love the name!

• Rex is exactly 30lbs and still in 2T clothes....if it weren't for length some 24 month pants would fit him better in the waist.

• He still brings the Drama everyday and I have to pray for love, peace, patients, kindness, gentleness, and self control when dealing with him daily.

• Rex is a snuggler!  He still sucks his thumb often and wants to have my hair and sit on my lap.  He always gives me several hugs and kisses before I leave him at preschool.

• Rex is also into Superheros and pretending and he has been asking some to help me cook lately and sometimes he helps me set the table.  Also since preschool started he is an awesome cleaner upper.  I love the Clean up song it has mystical powers! 

• Rex is a lot of fun to hang out with and play with!  I love being his Mom.

Have you ever seen anyone so happy to be at the Drs office?  He was fine by the way I should have know the kid is never sick!  He has still to date never had a prescription!

Rex discovered Legos and will probably never be the same.  These are my old Legos...I always knew God made me a Tomboy for a good reason.  Now I know it is so fun to get my old toys out and see my son enjoy them as much as I once did.
