Grant is 18 Months!

Its been a while since I did a post devoted to just one boy.  So here is one solely about Grant and one about Rexie boy will soon follow.

 I really wanted to have this magical photo shoot with Grant where he had on the outfit I wanted and was happy and posed and held still and smiled, you know like he did last year for me when he was 6 months old and stayed where I put him.  Oh well I chased him around and heres what I ended up with: (coincidentally I was just reading my post from when Rex was 18 months and in it I was also complaining that he wouldn't hold still for my photo shoot....you'd think I'd learn)

This is actually pretty classic Grant. This is the look we get from him a lot, not a whole lot of emotion but don't let that fool you he's always got something up his sleeve.

Grant is turning into a little toddler right before my eyes.  He is running and chasing with Rex.  He started climbing the ladder and then going down the slide on the swing set with no help this month, his words are increasing daily, he is starting to get better about sleeping through the night, although he is still up earlier than I would like for the day, but when he is sad, or tired, or hurt he is definitely still my little baby boy who needs his Momma.

Grant has really exploded with new words this month 2-3 new words a day sometimes.  Also some small phrases.  here are some of my favorites from the month: Papa, Up and Down (after riding the carousel at the Zoo), R- E-N (he actually spells out the letter because when he and rex play chase rex yells R-E-N meaning RUN...which we have now got him saying R-U-N but Grants still saying R-E-N), boat, Airplane, Mommy Go-go, Cookie, Moon, yea okay, oh no no mommy, I did it (well this is actually more like "I de-it").
