Adventures in Wildtree

Getting ready to make Chicken Noodle Soup

Chicken Noodle Soup (I'm not a huge chicken noodle soup fan in general so I give this a 2 star rating, Will enjoyed it)
I've been loading pictures of Wildtree Meals as I make them intending to do a post and the list of meals just keeps getting longer and longer and still no post, so tonight I will get it finished. (warning you will be hungry by the time you get to the bottom of this post).  If you dont mind leave a comment when your done and let me know what meal looked/ sounded the best to you.  Thanks.

So far I kind a feel like I'm winning and failing (a bit) at my Wildtree venture.  One the winning side of it, I am loving the Freezer Meal Workshops, the all natural products, and access to a huge selection of  new recipes, and also the company.  I was thinking the other day about why I love cooking Wildtree meals and its because I do really like cooking but I am not a chef.  I can't take random ingredients and whip up an amazing meal, but I love having a recipe of ingredients that looks good, planning that meal into my meal planning calendar, getting the necessary ingredients, following the recipe to the letter step by step, and then ending up with a delicious meal that we all love. (I might tweak it a little the 2nd time we eat it but the first time I like to follow it exactly) In the last month I have really been trying a lot of new Wildtree recipes (kinda picking and choosing select ones out of workshops that I want to try and that I have the product on hand for) and they have all been huge successes.  By huge success I mean Will and I like them, and the boys are liking them too!  The boys are eating dinner most Wildtree nights which was not the norm before.  I realized the other day I had planned out our dinners for the next week and they were all either Wildtree Freezer meals I had in the freezer or new ones I wanted to try out. (none of them were my old recipes).  I kinda almost felt bad about that like I don't want to make my old recipes feel bad!  So this week I got my old recipe book out and went through it but honestly there was only 1 or 2 things I wanted to make, they have been good but I have cooked them all about 15 times to many.

So now the failing side of Wildtree, which would lead to the business side of it.  I'm kinda supposed to be doing this to make money.  I've had 1 workshop at my house, a good friend had one, and Mom had one (she's my best customer), each one had 5 or less people.  I also planned another that no one signed up for and I've now planned a new one for next month that no one has signed up for yet but I will definitely do it for myself if no one else does.  Are you kinda picking up on the failing part,  I'm not a very good salesperson. (which is really no surprise) I'm not too good at getting parties booked and lots of attendance.  Part of me wants to be a big Wildtree sales person with 2 workshops a week selling over a $1,000 of product every month and part of me kinda feels like, If I'm breaking even from my commissions to get product for my family and I'm able to share it with a few people who are into it (and not pressured or feel obligated to do it) along the way then that's all the bigger it needs to be.  Right now Its a hobby at best and I think that's ok with me, for now anyway.

So here are most of the meals we have tried and a quick review.  If you would like to know more about any of these recipes or the Wildtree products I used to make them let me know (see how I worked at in there to try and sell some product)  I'm rating it on a 4 star rating system.   1-yuck.  2-ok but probably wont make again, 3-above average good eats, 4-delicious we all loved it and will definitely make again.  So here with go in no particular order:

Ranch Chicken Chili (OK so right off the bat I'm going to have to make a rating exception for this one I'm giving it 4 stars but the boys didn't eat it, it was too spicy for them, but Will and I really really liked it a lot and we WILL make it again)

Pasta e Fagioli (2/3 stars.  I kinda kept liking this one more everytime I had it so 2 initially and 3 by the time it was gone.)

Peppermint Hot Chocolate (1 star-I think Wildtree needs to stick to grapeseed oil and spices)

Workshop at my friends Jenna's-My biggest workshop to date.  These are all MOPS mommas so it was a lot of fun.

Chicken Fajitas on the skillet-(4 star! boys ate chicken only in tortillas but I'll take what I can get)

Chicken Fajitas-on the plate

Tia Rosa's Chicken Enchillada Soup (3 Stars-very good but too spicy for boys)

Mozzarella and Tomato Chicken Pasta (3- everyone ate it, easy and good. didn't really care for it leftover though)

Lasagna Soup-(4 Stars!! We all enjoyed this one!  Will make again!)

Workshop at Moms House

Crockpot Stromboli- (3 Star- I had this at Moms workshop so we haven't all had it, but Grant and I liked it a lot)

Crockpot Lasagna in the Crockpot- (4 stars- We've already made this twice and I've given it twice as a meal for friends who have had babies, yummy!!)

Easy Crockpot Lasagna on the plate- so good!

Easy Taco Soup- (2 stars, compared to some of the other similar soups this one is just ok I wild probably pick Ranch chili or the enchilada soup over this one)

Broccoli Cheese Soup (2 Stars- which kinda isn't a fair rating because I quite liked it but no one else in the fam will even try Broccoli cheese soup and it makes a lot so I probably wouldn't make it again for just me)

Mediterranean Chicken in the Crockpot- (4 Stars.  We all loved this one.  I have already froze up 2 more of this one to have in the future)

Mediterranean Chicken-So good!!

Chicken Posole-(4 Stars- the boys shocked me and ate this up!  They liked dipping the chips in it.  and it wasn't spicy at all very sweet)

Honey Glazed Java Chops and Garlic and Herb Twice Baked Potatoes
This is actually 2 different Wildtree Recipes.  So first we gave the Java Chops a 4.  Everyone ate them and they were super easy.  Next the Twice Baked potatoes get a 2/3 stars.  They were pretty good and kinda fun to try out making twice baked potatoes but they weren't really anything spectacular in taste.  Although Rex told me he loved them.

One more that I feel I have to mention that we tried just this week was called Asian Ginger Plum Stir-Fry with Cashews.  This one definitely gets a 4 Star rating, we all really liked it and again the boys totally shocked me by eating this one.  It uses Wildtree's new Asian Ginger Plum Dressing that is amazing.  When I made this I doubled it and made 1/2 for dinner and froze the other 1/2 for later.  We will definitely all be looking forward to this one again....and maybe next time I will get a pic for it.
**Update**I made it again and remembered to snap a pic before I devoured it!

So are you hungry yet!?  Like I said I've got the next 2 weeks meal planned and over half of it is Wildtree meals so I will be posting again soon some more reviews.  If I've wet your appetite I can hook you up with a full freezer meal workshop with 10 meals or just the product to make 1 of these meals that looked good.

Also did I mention every time we try a new meal its considered R&D for the business so the mileage to the grocery store, the groceries, and the Wildtree product I use is all tax deductible!

I will be first!
I made a list after looking over all the choices and reading your reviews.
Depending on carbs, I would love to try the broccoli cheese soup, the Mediterranean chicken crockpot and the crockpot lasagna and the lasagna soup!
Can you deduct a trip to my house? :) Really sounds like fun. And I am enjoying
the grape seed oils! kay
