This is where I have done laundry ever since we moved into our house. In the garage. Sometimes its lovely and beautiful weather and no big deal, sometimes its scorching hot and humid, and sometimes its bitterly cold and we have to check the weather and wait for a day above freezing to do laundry. If you notice the top cover is off the washer and so it the bottom. Basically the washing machine has been on life support for the last year. I feel fortunate that it has made it this long but its time to pull the plug and get a new fully functioning washer, and a new place to do laundry!!
this is a small room off the main floor bathroom (also connected to our room as a master bathroom). I have used this tub a total of 1 time in the last 3 years and I think the boys have taken half a dozen baths in it just for fun. So I had the idea a while back that maybe we could make this our indoor laundry room. Will liked the idea if we also had a shower on the main floor. So here is the transformation:
| tub removed |
| picking a new color for the walls |
| getting ready to paint |
| The new color going up |
| 2 coats later.... |
| our helper |
| more painting in the other room |
| Rex painted behind the toilet for us he loved it and we loved it. |
| Grant waiting his turn to use the roller |
| Ta-Da! We are really happy with the new grey walls. |
| just waiting for the next step |
| Will and my Dad spend Saturday afternoon and part of Sunday getting all the plumbing and electrical set up. |
| ta-da were ready for the washer and dryer... |
| They just got delivered today! Aren't they beautiful! We need to push them closer the the wall on the left, level one corner a bit that is wobbling, maybe reconfigure the dryer vent so we can push them closer to the wall in the back, and fix a small drippy leak at one of the connections of the pipes in the basement but they are here, and inside, and fully functional, and wonderful. |
| and now we are dreaming of adding a shower to the room maybe something like this one on display at Menards. |
