Getting to ride in the swing on an unusually warm day in early December
Wow this month flew by just as fast as last month. December has been a busy one for all of us in different ways but for Grant's part he has been working hard all month at becoming mobile. Early on in the month he was up on his hands and knees rocking. Next he learned how to get into the sitting position on his own by rocking on hands and knees and then pushing him self up with his arms. Next he was inch worming backwards, then army crawling, and finally crawling on all fours! It makes him very happy and he often is squealing as he is crawling towards something he wants to check out (like the dog, or a cord). And now that he is crawling he is already starting to pull up to things, although so far he only pulls up to his knees. He has also been banging his head, getting stuck on his hands and knees, and getting into all sorts of things he shouldn't. We all all proud of baby Grants new accomplishment, even Rex who has been on his hands and knees crawling around the floor with Grant.
Grants new foods this month were mango, corn, millet, spinach, veggie medley, cherry, tomato, lentils, plum, strawberries, and amaranth (and no I dont know that is but he liked it).
There is some debate as to whether or not Grant started clapping this month. Here is the video I'll let you decide. I was just shooting some random video at Christmas and Grant started making clapping motions. He kept doing it that evening but we haven't seen him do it since so I dont know if it was just a coincidence or he was really clapping.
Here are some pics from the month:
I just love this little profile. Grant is really good at entertaining him self with a basket of toys
I think its safe to say Grant enjoyed his first Christmas
pulling up to big brothers new tool bench all by his self!
Amarenth is a grain. Really small like the round sprinkles. Its a great grain to eat. And you can pop it and make super suoer tiny amarent popcorn like kernels to eat.
