9 Months!

9 months came in with a bang for Rex with a flurry of activity.  Aunt Annie and the cousins (Alex-4, Eli-2, and Gavin-9months) came down to visit for a week.  Then at the end of that week we made a trip to Kansas and moved out of our house at 2319 W 22nd Ave.  It was a crazy, busy, stressful weekend for all involved, even baby.  Rex and Mommy ended up with bad colds at the end of the weekend.  Rex also spent the weekend and the following weeks teething and cutting his 2 front teeth...ouch!  (which still haven't surfaced)

One major milestone this month is that Rex is now a meat eater!  Now that he has reach 9 months many new food possibilities are available to him.  He seems to like meat, cheese, eggs, and drinking water and juice out of big boy sippee cups instead of bottles.

Rex's interactions have reached a whole new level this month he has started to clap, wave, point, fake cough, and if you ask Grandma Cindy he has his first 2 words.  If he sees the dog he will say "woof woof" and if he is looking for me he babbles out "mama mama mamama".  Im not sure if those really count as words but I do think he has signed the symbol for eat several times.  Grandpa Rex was just sure he was going to walk at 9 months to keep up with his 9 month walking record but no walking yet.  He is definitely working on it he cruises all over furniture and has started crossing from one piece of furniture to another but no independent walking yet....but I wouldn't be surprised if it was next month to tie mommys 10 month walking record!

I admit I haven't been very good about taking pictures this month so i took a whole bunch one night to make up for it!
