10 Months

Lets see what did we do from February 29th to March 29 is all kinda seems like a blur now.    Early in March Grandma Cindy took Aunt Annie and I to the Hearts at home conference in Bloomington, IL.  It was a really great conference to learn all kinds of new information about being a mom. While the mommies went to the workshops Grandma Cindy took care of Rex and Gavin back at the hotel.  I got to go to several interesting workshops and also hear some really great Christian women and mothers speak.  My favorite workshop was on multiple intelligences.  We all have 8 different areas of intelligence but some are more developed than others, so the question isn't am I smart (or is my kid smart) but How am I smart.  The 1 hour workshop just scratched the surface of this topic but luckily Aunt Annie got the book that I hope to borrow sometime.  I hope to be able to go again next year I really enjoyed it and I think Rex had a great time with Gavin and Grandma Cindy too.  We even had a chance on Sunday before we went home to go swimming in the pool at the hotel.  It was Rex's first time in a pool I think he enjoyed the experience, it was kinda hard to tell, he mostly sucked his thumb and held on to me for dear life.

The other big event this month was moving out of Grandma and Grandpas house and into our new apartment in Fairview Heights.  We found a nice 2 bedroom duplex just several minutes from work for Will and in a nice quite neighborhood.  Rex was quite clingy during the move but he weathered it pretty well.  For the first time we were able to set up his crib  and changing table that I purchased at a yard sale in Chicago last summer for $50.  Grandma Kay and Aunt Cathy came to help us get settled and to see Fairview Heights.  They really helped us get a lot of stuff put away.  Rex made up a new silly face that he made to Grandma Kay and Aunt Cathy all weekend long.  He hasn't done it much since so I think it was just for them.  We ended the month with Daddys birthday (happy 29 daddy!) and just enjoying lots of time at home getting settled and getting a good nap and bedtime routine established again.

Here are my pictures to share from the month:

Rex discovers drawers!

and enjoys taking things out of the drawers and leaving them all over the house!

Car seats are lots of fun when they are not in the car

Finally a video, Rex likes to use us a step ladder and climb onto the furnitue, here he is enjoying the Lazy boy recliner:
