So every year about this time...the week after the pool shuts down but before they drain it they lets the dogs take over for a day and have a pooch plunge! Of course Amelia loves to swim anytime she can get a chance but it is fun to see her swimming in an actual swimming pool where you can see her whole body swimming throught the water. It can be a little chaotic with about 30 other dogs and their owners also swimming and running around but Amelia actually listens suprisingly well to me in a big crowd and stays close. I tried to take a few pictures but since I was there alone I also had to keep an eye on her and all the other dogs and things so I didn't get to take any video or capture it as well as I would have liked to. But her is what I got for your viewing pleasure:
It is nice that they have a zero entry level pool so the dogs and just run in and out of the water
Amelia is heading out for a tennis ball in this picture...it didn't matter if I threw it for her or if someone else threw it for their dog she would head out after it. (you can see it wasn't the nicest day but the storms stayed north of us)

I think that is such a neat event for your pool to have. It looks like Amelia had a great time.
too funny. the thought of swimming WITH the dogs just grosses me out. I do wonder, though, do dogs pee in the pool?
