We have known for quite some time that we needed to replace the deck on the back of the house.
It ended up taking us the spring and summer to decide on the product we wanted to use vs.....the budget we had. In the end the budget lost. ha! Due to Covid and Hurricanes the price of Lumber was as much as Composite decking. Which was what we really did want to use, it just seemed to much. We had about given up until next spring when the construction company we were working with had an opening and we decided to go ahead and invest and do it.
But that also meant we ended up having the weekend to demo our entire deck ourselves! We had been working on it little by little but Will cranked it into overdrive and got in down in no time!
Day 1-The ground was leveled and rock was laid.
the progress by the end of the first week. (it ended up raining 3.5 days of the week)

Finally some of the decking is going on!
The color we picked was called "Coconut Husk"

yea! It's finally done. It ended up taking 3 weeks from start to finish. We're really happy with the results!
