I had a plan...

I had a plan it involved sipping coffee  and catching up on news near and far,
I had a plan it included loading up recycling, dropping it off, and having a clean garage,
I had a plan to run, 2 miles probably maybe even 3, it might depend on how good the podcast is,
I had a plan to go to Target and get things we needed, and look at things we don't,
I had a plan to sweep the deck and figure out the power washer and clean that thing up,
I had a plan to go to the school and and watch the kids at the semester awards assembly

All I had to do to set this plan in motion was
 wake kids up,
 feed them,
 get them dressed,
 make their lunches,
load them up,
and get them to Fun Friday...

Alarms went off,
one came out one didn't.
No big deal. 
I went to wake up the a fore mentioned lazy head,
There he was so sweet in his bed
I opened the curtains to let the light in and....

Throw up on his pillow,
Throw up on his floor,
Throw up on his lego table,
Throw up on his pajamas!

This was not the plan....
THIS WAS NOT THE PLAN!!!

I have a plan to strip the bed and wash sheets,
I have a plan to scrub and clean the floors,
I have a plan to find the 'sick bucket" asap,
I have a plan to call the school sick line,
I have a plan to make toast and applesause,


Sigh....

This was not the plan
But
I have a plan.
