GRANT EDWARD IS 3!

Wow!  Grant is 3!  We pretty much partied all day long to celebrate Grants Birthday this year.

We started to the day off by going to Kripy Kreme for breakfast in pajamas!  (and we even got there when the HOT NOW sign was on so we got free donuts when we walked in the door! Birthday Bonus!)

Next up for the day was a fun outing with Grandma Cindy.  I had kinda hoped to go check out the transportation museum in St. Louis but heard to go on a nice day because a lot of it is outside.  the forecast was for thunderstorms all day so we decided on Monkey Joe's instead.  Grant had never been to monkey joes but I knew he was starting to like bouncy houses (because a year ago this time when we had our Catron family staycation he did NOT like bouncy houses. but at church a while back they had one and he really enjoyed it)  So I was hoping he would like Monkey Joes but I was kinda nervous at the same time that he might not be able to do all the climbing and stuff in the big ones and be scared or frustrated.  So how was it??

Grant LOVED every minute of it.  He got right in there and climbed and slid and bounced and had a great time.  There is a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to climb up the ladders inside the bouncy houses and since adults aren't allowed in them we had to just kinda coach him from the outside but he was determined to get up and once he did it once he did great the rest of the time.  Rex has been 2 other times with me or Will and done great.  but something was kinda off this visit he kept falling on the ladders and that scratched his tummy and then somehow his hand got smashed.  So he was about 50/50 having fun/ crying and mad.  Also it was the first day of spring break and the place was packed and crazy! So Grandma and I really kept a close eye on the boys because there were a lot of big (too big if you ask me) kids running around.  But we got out with no major injuries and I cant wait to go back sometime with my 2 big boys on a nice quiet week day.

The giant slide was Grants favorite thing a Money Joe's.  He did it over and over and over.

Grant wanted a BATMAN themed birthday with a batman cookie cake ( last year we did a cookie monster theme and a cookie cake and so he still wanted a cookie cake this year).  Grant was very excited for present opening this year.  Here is a short clip of him opening a Mr. Freeze Imaginext toy that he was really really wanting.

Grandma Cindy helped decorate the cake.  I turned out AWESOME!
