9 Months

While enjoying a 60 degree day in January Grant got to sit up in the swing set fort
Whew! What a busy month Grant has had this month. Some how I think we packed more into January than we did into last month.  Where to start?  Well this month started out with a trip to the doctors office for a well visit, just a check up no shots this time.  Grant is up to 21.6 lbs.

Suspiciously the day after our visit to the doctors office Grant came down with a virus that made him throw up after eating.  So for about a week all he could keep down as his nursings.  While that was going on he was also teething and his two front teeth were pushing hard.  Thankfully the day before we left for a long trip to Kansas Grant got over his virus and started to eat again and 1 of his 2 front teeth pushed through.  Through all that he also began pulling up to his feet and doing some cruising early on in the month.  Daddy was the first witness to it when he found him pulled up to standing in his crib.  He was first pulling up and cruising on the short coffee table in our living room but by the end of them he was reaching up to the couch and really almost anything he could to pull up to...I think he even tried to pull up onto Rexie and Millie a few times!

We had a really good time at the Farm with Grandma Kay and Papa Jerry celebrating a belated Christmas with them and just enjoying some time at their house.  On the day we traveled home I realized that Grants other front tooth had pushed through over night and he now had 4 teeth!  It was good to be home for a few night but we didn't stay long.  By the end of that week we packed up and headed to Grandma Cindy's and Papa Rex's house to see Aunt Annie and cousins Alex, Eli, Gavin, and brand new baby Laura!

Due to being sick and lots of traveling I dont have as long of a list of new foods for Grant this month.  But he was introduced to meat mixed into baby foods, and egg which he seemed to like fine.  Grant has no interest at this point in self feeding but he is starting to try some new textures and will eat puffs, little bits of toast, and crackers.  Even with all our travels, teething, and being sick this month he has been a champion nurser and that always makes Mommy feel good.

Uh Oh!  I almost forgot one of my favorite parts of this month.  Grant started saying Uh Oh.  It is very very cute.  Check out the video at the bottom.  He is also waving sometimes and so far hasn't seemed to develop any seperation anxiety yet.

Here are some more pics from the month:
