Rex turned 6 months over the weekend, which for us means starting solid foods. (A quick 6 month update: Rex was 17lbs 20z and 26inches long at his check up.) I was really excited for this milestone. Not because I dont love breast feeding him but perhaps because it is something that we get to introduce to him. Until now so many of his milestones are on his timeline, when he first rolls over, when he first sleeps through the night, when he starts crawling, etc. So this is fun because we get to teach him a new thing. He has been watching us very closely when we eat for the past few weeks so we knew he was definately interested. Will and I had a lot of fun and I think Rex did too. We are only 4 days in so about 1/2 ends up in the mouth and 1/2 ends of outside of his mouth but he is doing great. Here is some pics and video of the big event:

Looks great. My quick tip for the day- give them a spoon or two to hold in their hands while feeding them. It will help reduce the amount of grabbing for your spoon and slowly he will try to start putting it in his mouth to feed himself.
