January and February

Winter months.....Lets go through them 2 at a time shall we?

It took us our whole first week back (to school) to really get in the flow of things but we did and it has been going quite well since.  We are in a good work flow and the boys are learning and growing every day with out too much drama (there is always some drama).

Almost as soon as we got back from our New Years trip to Kansas, we were taking Grandma and Grandpa to the airport to begin their big adventure.  3 weeks in Egypt and Isreal!!

took this picture the moment Rex (and Will) were able to get Will (and Jason's) old playstation 1 working.

I have been trying to get updated pictures of each boy.  I snapped this picture of Grant up in a tree.
( I may be partial but I really like it)

This dog is sure loved and spoiled!  She really completes our family

Picking up Mom and Dad!  They survived.
(and I do mean survived! they were both quite sleep deprived and sick when I picked them us)

We had Will come to school one day and give us a finger printing demonstration.  We got to see how each and every finger print is unique! and He was also able to demonstrate how to lift and print.  Wow it's amazing how our finger prints are on everything if you have "magic" powder to make them appear!

Just a cozy winter morning working on a science test together.

I took the boys to their favorite arcade to celebrate 100 points each on our reward system called "Rowland Rewards"  They have both had a really great year.

Did you know the first Saturday of February is Nation Ice Cream for Breakfast Day?
Well it is, and if you go to the milk house in Greenville you can do just that.  We had waffles and ice cream, donuts and ice cream and even ice cream with cereal mixed in.  (if your wondering none of us ate lunch that day)

We went flying again!  What a cool thing to be able to do as a family!
This time I got to sit in the front.

Grant found a new cozy spot to read a book

February:
This February has been a rather warm one....and no complaints here.  We have had quite a few thunderstorms and wind storms roll through during the month.

We entered a cardboard boat regatta at our Rec Center.  We had several hours to design, construct, and build a boat out of only duck tape and cardboard.  It was named the Titanic 2....and rightly so.  I was a very nice design but when we put it in water....and then 2 boys in it, unfortunately it sunk, quiet quickly.  But we still ended up with 2nd place and a free months membership.

The boys and I got the honor of helping at a birthday tea for Grandma Lois' 92nd Birthday.
I was in charge of tea service and the boys were the servers.  They both did a wonderful boy offering the ladies tray after tray on yummy treats Grandma Cindy had made for the event.

We are flying into March and ready for the official start of Spring!

(My flowers seem to already think it is spring.  I already had some Crocuses pop up and the daffodils aren't far behind.
