December 19, 2020

We made it to December

It's December and were staying busy this month as we bring 2020 to a close.

I signed the boys and I up for a fun challenge called the Jingle Hike.  We have between Thanksgiving and New Years to go and find bows hidden on a tree and 12 area parks.  We have been going to quite a few parks we have never been to.

One new one that may become a favorite is Willoughby Farm. It's got an old farm house, barns, and even some animals.  The play ground was (of course) the boys favorite.  It also some nice woods trails.

We have found 7 bells so far and hope to still knock a few more off before Christmas.  For every bell we find and submit a picture we are entered to win prizes.

Rex LOVES this blanket his teacher Mr. Spradling gave him at the end of last year as part of an award he won for good behavior all year long. We've started calling him "Lord Pizza" because as he travels around the house he wears it like a cape behind him.

Rex and Grant have found a deeper friendship with our neighbor Khoen during this pandemic.  As soon as everyone is done with school they are at each others doors ready to play!  Grant and Khoen worked really hard one Friday afternoon to make this  new stick fort headquarts.

Lucy just being sweet!

The boys got haircuts and are looking sharp (and tuff)

Nothing to see here just boys being Silly!

Well things were going too well weren't they.   Rex had a bad fall and....ended up with a broken third Metacarpal....aka....a broken hand.  He has handled it all quite well and had a good attitude about it.  Hopefully we will go back Jan 11 and get it taken off.

Grant dresses like a cowboy every chance he gets lately.  He is hoping for a new Cowboy hat for Christmas.

(I will try to make a Christmas post to wrap up the year.)
