(Grant's 2019 Young Author book Submission----he did not win, but I sure think it's a winner)
(also just fyi-Rex decided not to make one this year)
Grant has always liked sending stories to Grandma Cindy by Emoji's when he is bored. This story came about while at one of Rex's upwards basketball games. Usually he doesn't have me type out all the words.....which make it kinda interesting to figure out the story. But this day he did. We all liked it so much he decided to make it his young author story. It was kinda of a process of trial and error to figure out how to adapt it to a book format. But in the end I realized I could just change the name of the person we texted it to and change the picture, to Detective Grant and do print screens to grab the texts, then just print it, which comes out as a full size page. Grant enjoyed working on the cover and back.....he says when he gets a phone some day he will get a phone case that looks exactly like the one me made.
