The Many Adventures of June

Family Pic while riding the train in Abilene, KS

Dadddy and the boys waiting for the Sea Lion show to start at the St. Louis Zoo

It seems like we had a lot of adventures this month.  One day early in the month the boys had us all up early and we realized it was a pretty free day so we decided to head to the St. Louis Zoo for the morning.  The highlights for the boys were the train and the sea lion show.  I enjoyed the Zoo but I also really enjoyed our picnic afterwards in Forrest Park. Our next big adventure this month was our vacation to Kansas.  We enjoyed several days out at the farm in Emporia and also a visit to McPherson  to see friends and Salina to see family.  I enjoyed taking over 400 pictures while we were on our trip.  I am working on a photo alpha-bit project and im also hoping to make a little photo memory book of our trip with some of my pictures.  Will has been busy with work, running, some small yard projects, and has enjoyed playing indoor soccer on his Sunday league.

REXIE:

Rex playing around in Forrest Park

Mr. Rex is still the one that keeps me up at night.  He is my first and so I worry about everything that he is doing that I dont think he should be doing and everything that he isn't doing that I think he should be doing.  Will it be this way forever?   Rex has been into "light buzz year" this month.  And no I didn't type that wrong he doesn't call him Buzz Light Year its Light Buzz Year.  He has 2 sets of pajamas that have Buzz on them and one makes it look like he is Buzz.  He likes pushing the pretend buttons on the pjs and running up and down the hall way yelling, "Im Light Buzz  Year To infinity and Beyond"
Rex has been having A LOT of fun at the neighbors pool this month.
This swing was in our shed when we moved in we finally got it out and cleaned up and hung.  Rex named him Blaze (after Grandpa Jerry's horse) he is becoming quite the Cowboy.

Going for a walk in the woods

GRANT
Grant on the train, I think he looks like a very big boy in this pic
Grant popped out 2 more molars this month!  The first one kinda came in without me even knowing it and the second one has been the cause for much unhappiness, early morning wakes ups, and yucky diapers.  Grant is getting more and more steady in his walking all the time and is working on a run now.  (and he is starting to do better in the grass.  He will now walk in it if you hold his hand! This is progress!) He started the month with a bad cold but it ended just in time for our vacation.  Grant is also starting to get more and more vocal shall we say about what he wants.....in other words he points and screams!  He is working on saying Open which kinda sounds like "O-pa" right now.  I think his current word list is, Momma, Dadda, All Done (ah-da), Open (O-pa), Uh-oh, Bye-Bye (dye-dye), and Hi (I-ya), oh yea and Arggghhh (he likes to growl A LOT!)

I got pots out for him to play with and this is what he choose to do...

Looking at Monkeys at the Zoo....I like this little profile

Grant likes doing anything that he think might be a little bit mischievous these day

I have decided I have to many pics of our Kansas trip so I will be doing a separate entry for it.  So stay tuned.....lets see what else do I have pics of from this month?

I found this little fawn in our window well one day.  Apparently just taking a nap, then he moved on

My Garden is Growing Growing.  We are starting to get a handful of raspberries a day now and my Sunflowers are really tall, I cant wait till they flowers start to bloom.

I got 2 Tomato plants, a jalapeno, and 2 pepper plants in finally after I realized the ones I planted from seed were never going to come up.  Also I finally found out what my mystery plant was, a whole row of Carrots!  Deer ate about half of my sunflowers and some of my raspberries but they have left everything else alone.....at least for now

The End
