| At the Drs Office |
Grant started out this month at the doctors for a well visit check up. He weighted in at 19.4 lbs (thats the 75%) he was 26 inches long, and his head circumference was 16.5 inches. In short he is doing very well!
We also got to introduce him to the world of food this month. We started off with Rice Cereal and added Oatmeal cereal, mulitgrain cereal, homemade sweet potatoes, homemade avocado mashed bananas, pears, squash, prunes (out of necessity), and peas. At first it was quite a challenge to get him to open his mouth up for us to get the spoon in but after about a week he started getting the idea. He has progressed from 1 single tablespoon of runny cereal to now 2 meals a day with several tablespoons of cereal and a fruit or vegetable. And so far he eats anything we feed him! (Which I am going to really enjoy while I can because I know from Rex that it wont last forever)

| Whenever Rex plays with Grant he always wants to lay on him. Luckily Rex only weighs about 7 pounds more than his brother so Grant can take it pretty well. |
He also started out the month rolling end over end. So the days of the baby floor gym are gone and we are now in the phase of blankets and toys on the floor. However rolling didn't seem to last more than a couple of days and he seemed to be over it and ready to sit. And he has become a sitting pro this month. In fact he would much rather be sitting than on his back or stomach. He was wobbly at first but now he can reach forward and side to side and keep his balance. He isn't getting into the sitting position on his own yet but hopefully it wont be long. He has also gotten very grabby. I used to have to hand him a toy and wait till his fingers closed around it for him to be able to hold onto it. Now if it is in reaching distance and looks interesting he is probably going to be grabbing for it!

Another new development that happened at the end of the month was a new consonant sound for Grant and what I think is the start of babble for him. His new sounds is "aaa-da" "du-du". It is really fun to hear his "speaking" voice because it is totally different from his cues and squeals. It is kinda quiet and low and almost a little horse sounding; very sweet I think.
