This is a really fun age...

I titled this post "this is a really fun age" because I was looking back at Rex's baby book of blog posts from his first year and I saw that I had entitled Rex's 5 month post "this is a really fun age".  It was true then for Rexie and it still holds true now for baby Grant.  Five months is a really fun baby age.  Its when they start to get really social and you get lots of smiles and giggles, they are a really good nursers by this age, they are a good nappers and great night time sleepers by 5 months, and easy to load up in a car seat and take places with you.  There are so many reason to enjoy month 5.  Here are some of the highlights from this last month for Grant:
Grant loves bath time and attempts to empty the entire tub of water by kicking and splashing the entire bath!

  • Grant began squealing at the beginning of the month

He spent a lot of time in this position this month before he got the hang of rolling all the way over

  • 9/5-Grant grabbed his feet

Yay! Grandma Kay and Papa Jerry came to visit for a weekend!

  • Also on 9/5 Grant slept from 7:30pm-7:45am straight through!  I would say that he is averaging about 1 wake up a night.  Which means sometimes he is up 2 times but sometimes he isn't up any!

Isn't Grant the cutest little seed salesman you have ever seen.  Thanks for the seed shirt Papa Jerry!

  • Started being to distracted by noises, lights, and mainly big brother to nurse anywhere other than his room in the dark!

I got a new lens for my camera and enjoyed doing a photo shoot with Grant one afternoon, this was one of my favorites

  • For about 1 week of the month Grant was completely obsessed with blowing raspberries.

Grant loves Millie!

  • Grants eyes are definitely changing color.....maybe to brown?....maybe gray like his big brother?...we'll have to wait and see I guess.

This is a look we get from him a lot....he is a tuff guy.

  • 9/21-Grant began rolling over back to tummy.  He was getting stuck about 3/4 of the way over for a long time but he has finally mastered it and is now actually better at rolling that way than from tummy to back.

Grants hair has gotten really fluffy on top this month

  • While most of these have been positive here is a negative; Grant spits up a lot and often requires an outfit change (and often me too) because of it.  He also has a lot of "blow-out" diapers which require more outfit changes.  Luckily we are blessed with many outfits and a high efficiency washing machine.

I LOVE LOVE this photo of the 2 of them
